 Providing objective, independent expertise on construction matters has become our primary business.

As we entered the new millennium F. B. Davis Sons CMI changed. More and more, our services were requested by attorneys to research and report on various construction matters being litigated, and more and more property losses were being resolved under the appraisal guidelines incorporated into today's insurance policies.

Our Contracting experience gave us credibility with both the insurance industry and claimants in the process of handling insurance settlements.

During the decades when we worked extensively as contractors, we responded to scores of insurance-claim-covered work that required complex repairs or construction. This work stemmed from fires and weather damage from rain, hurricane or floods.

Because of our experience we had developed a reputation for giving fair and accurate construction estimates. We also had become knowledgeable about the process of litigating claims from both an industry and a plaintiff viewpoint.

Our credibility and expertise is so respected in fact that sometimes we have acted as an expert for both the plaintiff and defense counsel in the same case.

With our experience in these matters, we became more frequently asked to contribute our knowledge to litigated matters and the insurance appraisal process. We have been involved in deciding cost and repairs in matters in binding arbitration in the area of commercial property losses .

As we continue our new business model we admit that we miss many of our construction business clients who retired or were purchased and relocated away from the Philadelphia region.  At the same time we are proud to have recognized that our insurance estimating and consulting expertise had become more valuable. 

 Our hope is that we can contribute our expertise in a way that most quickly and fairly resolves property disputes.
